Fabricator/Welder, Beaverton, OR

Schedule: Monday – Thursday 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Possible O.T. on Friday days if ever needed.

Location: Clackamas, OR

Pay Rate: $26 – $30

We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate is responsible for welding / fabricating diverse products following customer specification and blueprint drawings. This position requires dependable work habits and teamwork. Attention to detail and meeting quality standards are essential. We look for adaptability, service-orientation and effective teamwork as well as the technical requirements of the job.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Productivity & Throughput
  2. Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing work
  3. Follow procedures for machine operation, quality, safety, and workflow.
  4. Complete jobs within time allotted or in less time
  5. Follow standard procedures using checklist and gauge system
  6. Convey overlooked information and record it

Daily Functions:

  1. Consistently be on time and ready to work
  2. Follow safety procedures and ensure coworkers do as well
  3. Review assigned duty
  4. Fulfill work area and materials / information required
  5. Follow standard procedures using checklist and gauge system

  7. Document improvement suggestions
  8. Make sure you have your tools ready, clean and in the correct locations to be able to do the job
  9. Have a plan for the day even though it may change
  10. Look at the product as the customer would
  11. Keep the work area clean and hazard free
  12. Project a positive and professional attitude
  13. Use designated areas for materials and tools
  14. Use designated areas for work-in-process and finished goods
  15. Check output against specifications before handing it off to the next person / shift
  16. Record daily productivity and defects
  17. Check incoming materials against specifications
  18. Use time wisely
  19. Raise the bar
  20. In-process quality management and reporting
  21. Aggressively look for and implement efficiencies: plan ahead, use designated places and defined processes

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. At least 3 years experience in fabrication preferred
  2. Experience in an ASME certified facility preferred
  3. ASME Certified preferred
  4. Certified Lift Truck Operator (can certify on site)
  5. High School Diploma / GED required
  6. Must be able to work overtime if needed
