Maintenance Tech 1; Los Lunas, NM

Pay Rate: $21/hr.

Maleko personnel is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Technician 1 to join our client’s team. (This is a temp to hire position)

In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for assisting with the general maintenance and upkeep of a facility. including but not limited to repairing/replacing plumbing fixtures, defective electrical switches and outlets, HVAC units as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs in various areas of the facility.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks as directed.
• Respond to maintenance requests and ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Support senior technicians and maintenance staff with more complex tasks.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines in all maintenance activities.
• Assist with inventory and organization of maintenance supplies.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and tools.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift moderate weights.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Previous experience in a maintenance or related role is a plus but not required.
• 1 year: Driving oversized truck or box truck/van

• 2 years: General maintenance
