Accounting/Clerk, Exeter, CA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Famous Software and have a strong background in handling purchase orders, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is critical to ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of our day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately process and record all accounts payable and receivable transactions.

Create, review, and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely follow-up with vendors and internal departments.

Use Famous Software to enter and reconcile financial transactions and generate reports.

Ensure all financial data is correctly recorded, filed, and maintained in accordance with company policies and standard accounting practices.

Assist with month-end and year-end closings, including account reconciliations and journal entries.

Communicate with vendors and customers regarding invoices, payment discrepancies, and account status.

Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for invoices, payments, and financial documents.

Support audits by providing requested documentation and reports.

Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency.
Requirements:

2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in an office or industrial setting.

Proficiency in Famous Software is REQUIRED.

Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchase order processes.

Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the agriculture, produce, or distribution industries.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Location: Exeter, CA
Schedule: Mon-Friday 8am-5pm
Compensation: $18/hr. – $20/hr.
