General Labor/ Demo

Pay Range: $20/hr. – $25/hr.

General Labor Overview: General labor involves supporting restoration technicians and demolition crews by preparing job sites, removing damaged materials, and assisting with cleanup. This role is essential for keeping projects on track and safe.

Technician’s Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Job site prep: Setting up containment barriers, laying floor protection, and unloading equipment.
• Demolition: Removing drywall, flooring, trim, and other materials with hand and power tools.
• Water & mold mitigation: Extracting water, removing wet materials, and setting up drying equipment.
• Fire damage cleanup: Removing soot and debris, cleaning surfaces.
• Debris removal: Hauling materials, sweeping, and maintaining site cleanliness.
• Equipment handling: Operating dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and moisture meters
• Communication: Taking direction, providing status updates, and ensuring safety.

Basic Tools to Bring:

• Hammer
• Pry bar
• Utility knife with extra blades
• Tape measure
• Screwdrivers
• Tool belt or small bag
• Work gloves (cut-resistant preferred)

PPE & Uniform Requirements:

• Hard hat
• High-visibility vest
• Safety glasses or goggles
• Steel-toe work boots
• Work gloves
• Rugged long pants and long-sleeve shirt (depending on site)
• Dust mask or half-face respirator (for mold/fire sites)
